Announcement

Malmö has taken another step towards achieving the bold goal of a 100% green, greenhouse gas-neutral city by 2020. Ekoenergetyka-Polska has contributed to its implementation.

Fast city charging stations

Recently, three city charging stations, quickPOINT City Charger  with a power of 300 kW each, have been put into operation. Inverted pantographs installed on masts power 13 electric buses supplied by Volvo. The chargers were built in two districts in Malmö – one in Ön in the south-west and the other two in the suburbs of the city in Svågertorp.

“Malmö is already the third project, after Västerås and Luleå, recently completed in Sweden. This project confirms our growing position in the Scandinavian markets. It also proves that our solutions work well in combination with buses from different manufacturers – in Malmö we had the first opportunity to charge electric buses from Volvo. – said Maciej Wojeński, Vice President of Ekoenergetyka-Polska.

Smart monitoring system

Together with the chargers for e-buses, Ekoenergetyka also supplied an intelligent external monitoring system. Its application allows to collect data on charging processes in real time and ensures efficient operation of the charging station.

The devices comply with the international charging protocol ISO 15118 defining the communication between chargers and e-buses and use the industry-supported OppCharge charging system.

In addition to the charging station, Ekoenergetyka-Polska has carried out the construction work necessary to install chargers and is also responsible for its servicing.
