Matrix charging

Matrix charging – i.e. charging infrastructure that is built around the principle of power sharing between charge points is crucial for an efficient and optimised bus depot electrification.

Key Idea

Low power single chargers are connected into a system, power flows in a pre-defined way between different chargers. Each charge point is capable of delivering 4-5 times as much power as the individual charger, with which it is associated.


Slow and fast charging in one

While the standard power of each charger allows for slow charging of the entire fleet, the charging power of individual chargers usually does not take into consideration unpredicted events. In case of unexpected delay of the bus, such as traffic jams, protests or road works, the whole charging plan can go into disarray. Matrix charging enables you to increase charging power of any given charger within minutes. You can do it in a targeted and time-restrained way, adjusting the power to all the buses charging based on their schedule and SOC.
