Ekoenergetyka-Polska will produce bus charging infrastructure for MPK Kraków
The capital of Małopolska is moving towards electromobility. Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Komunikacyjne S.A. in Kraków ordered 50 electrobuses from our partner – Solaris Bus & Coach. Ekoenergetyka-Polska will provide charging infrastructure.
We will deliver 50 mobile charging stations of 50-60 kW each to MPK Kraków depot. The single-output devices will be equipped with CCS Combo 2 connectors. Our chargers are customised to meet customer requirements. That is why the model, which will be located in the Krakow depot, will have the possibility to work in a floor and multi-column (3×3) arrangement. What does this mean for the operator? After removing the wheels, the stations can be stacked one on top of another (maximum three). In addition, they will be prepared to be connected to the pantograph in the future.
In 2017, Ekoenergetyka-Polska prepared charging stations for MPK Kraków. At that time, we provided the operator with five pantograph devices with power from 160 kW to 250 kW. They were located on bus loops.
– We focus on solutions that enable real electromobility. The depot charging stations are the perfect complement to loop pantograph devices. This concept ensures that buses are quickly recharged during the day and at night when stationary. The fleet is available all the time and the inhabitants of Kraków will be able to use zero-emission urban transport. – says Maciej Wojeński, Vice-President of Ekoenergetyka-Polska.
