Research and Development Centre


Thanks to two subsidies from the Ministry of Infrastructure, since June 2018 Ekoenergetyka-Polska has been building a new Research and Development Centre for new technologies in electric transport. On 19 September 2018, the ceremony of laying the foundation act for the construction of the new facility took place.


In the Research and Development Centre we will improve the available products, as well as develop completely new information technologies and systems for public transport. – said Maciej Wojeński, Vice President of Ekoenergetyka-Polska.


New jobs


Due to the dynamic development of the company plans to increase employment and needs qualified staff. The company is looking for highly specialized professionals and engineers: electricians, electricians designers, electronic engineers, as well as embeded programmers.


Currently, more than 20 recruitment processes are underway. This year our employment has increased by over 100% and this is not the end of the expansion of the Polish manufacturer of electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

Chargers for electric buses in Poznań


Next city in Poland where electric buses will be charged is Poznań. On September 14th an agreement worth 12,086,260 PLN was signed in the seat of MPK Poznań. Chargers will be supplied by the Polish manufacturer of electric vehicle charging infrastructure Ekoenergetyka – Polska.


Details of the Ekoenergetyka-Polska and MPK Poznań agreement


Charging stations will be powered by electric buses in depots and at terminal stations. The contract covers two stages: design works and preparation of documentation by June 2019, construction works, delivery and installation of infrastructure by the end of August 2019. The order includes the delivery of 13 charging stations for a total capacity of over 2.2 MW and an additional charger with a capacity of 540 kW as an option. The project will include the following locations in Poznań:



As an option, MPK Poznań can order a 540 kW pantograph double charger. The right of option is valid until 31 December 2020.


This is another large contract that we recently signed (after Hamburg and PKN Orlen). We are very happy that our products will also support public transport in Poznań, improve the comfort of residents and travelers by reducing emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere. High-speed EV chargers in Orlen stations


PKN ORLEN completed the tender procedure for suppliers of charging stations for electric cars. Fast charging of EVs will be possible in 150 locations located both in cities and along transit routes throughout Poland. In the first stage of the pilot project, by the end of 2019, approximately 50 points will be launched.


Ekoenergetyka-Polska as infrastructure provider


The completed tender included the selection of suppliers of 50, 100 and 150 kW chargers that allow fast charging of electric vehicles. One of the three producers of charging infrastructure selected in the tender is Ekoenergetyka-Polska. The task of the selected companies is to prepare a project, provide the stations with their installation and service. PKN ORLEN charging points will serve all types of electric cars offered on the European market and will be equipped with three charging plugs – CHAdeMO and CCS (with direct current) and a Type 2 (with alternating current) connector.


As part of the pilot programme, the first charging station for electric cars is already operating in Płock near PKN Orlen, where drivers can benefit from free charging of their vehicles. The 50 kW charging station is designed for both electric (EV) and hybrid (PHEV) vehicles and offers the possibility of charging 4 vehicles at the same time. The power for each of the stations is dynamically allocated by the station’s controller during charging, thanks to which it will be possible to significantly shorten its time.
